Empty your shelves and purge
Unload your shelves and purge unwanted linens. The rule is you only use 20% of your items you have in your closets. You wanted to get rid of mismatched sheets, stained linens and outdated linens. Donate any unused linen. Organizing is much easier when you have fewer items to work with. Clean your shelves with soapy water and line your shelves with liners. This will help the quality of your linens.
Sort and Organize Your Linen by Categories
You want to organize your sheets, towels, duvet covers, quilts and like items together. Adjustable shelf dividers will help divide your linens. Label the Baskets, And Boxes
Once you have placed your linens in their bins, boxes and baskets, place a label on them. You want to know what is queen sized and king sized linens. An over door rack is great to be used for tablecloths and runners.
Linens Fresh
You can use a closet dehumidifier to help keep your linens fresh. Baking soda, fabric sheets, and lavender sachet bags will help keep closets nice. Cedar blocks will prevent moths and bugs out. Organization and cleanliness will keep your linen closet the dreamy linen closet you always wanted.
Moving Linens
Fold your linens into large plastic bags and place in a box lined with paper. Wardrobe boxes are great for curtains and draperies. Rugs should be wrapped before being placed in the moving truck. Mattresses are also wrapped before being placed in the truck. Plastic zippered duvet bags are great for comforters. Vacuum sealed bags are great for packing linens too. Towels and blankets can be used to help pack your breakables. You want to pack your linens last so they can be easily accessed for your new home.
